VEK REINFORCED TILE ADHESIVE

Tile adhesive is a dry building mix that is used for the installation of ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, stone and other materials. Most often, tile adhesive has a cement-sand binder base, to which various components of chemical origin are added. Thanks to such additives, it is possible to significantly improve certain performance qualities of the adhesive composition.

One of the most important characteristics of any tile adhesive is adhesion (the shortest definition of this term is adhesive strength or adhesive power) to the substrate. The heavier the tile or porcelain tile, the greater the adhesive strength should be. That is why the installation of standard ceramic tiles must be carried out on adhesives with an adhesion of at least 0.5 MPa (in human terms, the adhesive must withstand a tear load of 5 kg / sq. cm). In fact, this is the minimum value at which the adhesive must not only stick, but also hold even the simplest ceramic tiles for many years, despite vibration and periodic loads. From this point of view, laying a standard ceramic. granite (300 * 300) cannot be made with glue with similar adhesion indicators, but it is already noticeable to porcelain stoneware (given the difference in the nature of materials, for ceramic tiles it will be 0.7–0.8 MPa). More precisely, it is possible, if only the only goal is to quickly hand over the object, without thinking about what will happen to porcelain stoneware in a year or two. For heavy, large-format ceramic granite (600 * 600) or stone, you will need an adhesive with an adhesive strength of at least 1 MPa (that is, capable of withstanding a load of at least 10 kg per sq. cm).
